My name is Kelsi Miller and I am very excited to be the new music teacher at Lincoln Middle School! Fort Worth, Texas is where I grew up and first discovered my love of music. I was in choir all through middle and high school, which eventually led me to Lubbock, Texas where I attended Texas Tech University. During my time at Texas Tech, I earned a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Music Education and spent my time singing in all of the university's ensembles, serving in my sorority, and working in several middle school choir rooms in the area. Quickly after graduation, I married my husband, Austin, and moved to the Chicago land area with our cat, Remington! Over the past 3 years, I have been teaching elementary music where I have directed in several professional development opportunities, festivals, and concerts with my K-5 aged students. All of these experiences have led me to my most exciting journey yet of being a middle school music teacher, choir and drama director! This has been an aspiration of mine since I was first inspired by music in the 7th grade, and I am over-the-moon excited to be sharing, teaching, and learning more about music with my new family at Lincoln Middle School!
